In the Peak Performance Buoyancy course you'll polish your buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. Through learning more about the physics of buoyancy and then applying the knowledge with your instructor's guidance, you'll increase your ability to establish and maintain just the buoyancy called for by any diving situation.You'll explore position and distribution of weights for comfort and trim (your body's position in the water; streamlining to reduce drag; basic weighting guidelines; and how visualization can help you to achieve neutral buoyancy. You'll have plenty of time to practice your buoyancy skills during your 2 training dives.
prerequisites: be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have
a qualifying certification from another training organization; and be 10 years of age or older.[back to specialty classes page]
